Dr Roman Montanari is a graduate of Sydney University (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, with Honours). He worked for a number of years in hospital medicine and surgery, and in emergency medicine. He eventually decided to specialise in mental health, obtaining his full Psychiatry Fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists in 2003.
Dr Montanari’s training was in the Northern Sydney Area Health Service, and he has treated patients in numerous hospitals, including RNSH, Northside Clinic, St John of God Hospital, and most recently in Brisbane Waters Private Hospital, where he gained further expertise in Neuromodulation therapies (rTMS and ECT).
His main clinical work is in Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Schizophrenia, and Adult ADHD. He is well-grounded in mainstream medicine, but has also developed a healthy understanding of the limits of medical science, and thus employs an open-minded and broad approach to prescribing. He is expected to be an excellent fit within the Invitation To Health Integrative medicine approach.
