Dr Nelis Ehlers

Dr Nelis Ehlers completed his medical degree in 2006 at the University of Pretoria, South Africa and gained experience in all major specialist disciplines while in South Africa. He relocated to Australia in 2014 and worked in cardiology, general surgery and mental health. He has spent significant time working in emergency medicine in Wyong and Gosford Hospitals and has chosen to focus on General Practice since 2019. For the last three years, Dr Ehlers has worked as a GP in Nelson Bay and Gloucester.

Dr Nelis enjoys the diagnostic challenges and variety of general practice, and has a commitment to continuity of care. He loves working collaboratively with patients and seeing their improvement over time. He has a particular interest in skin cancer and is looking forward to further training in dermoscopy skills and skin surgery techniques in the upcoming year.

He lives on the Central Coast with his wife and son.
