Melissa Young

Melissa graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Nursing degree in 2019, on the Central Coast at Ourimbah Campus. She is registered with AHPRA.

Melissa has a background in beauty therapy which allowed her to treat skin conditions and provide complimentary therapies such as aromatherapy, reflexology, Swedish massage, nutrition and more.

Her passion for helping people with their skin and well-being led her to a career in nursing. Melissa became an Enrolled Nurse training at Sydney Adventist Hospital and then went on to become a Registered Nurse.

Melissa is excited to be a part of the integrated medical team at ITH. She believes in a holistic approach to health, providing patient centred care and treating the patient as a whole. She is passionate about being a primary health care nurse and enjoys assisting patients in reaching their health goals. She has a special interest in chronic diseases, mental health, women’s health and assisting integrative health professionals while helping patients have more control over their health conditions.

In her free time, Melissa enjoys outdoor adventures with her partner, son and family.
